All VI.K.I. product packaging carries a label from the weighing scale with the following printed information:
Keep refrigerated or frozen
Made in Greece
Expiry Date (Best before)
Price per kg
The product is kept in excellent condition up to the «best before date» provided it has been maintained under the conditions mentioned on its packaging either refrigerated (0 - 4o C) or frozen (-18ο C).
It is important to maintain the refrigeration chain for a product from the moment it is manufactured to the moment it is consumed.
Within the factory, products are warehoused in refrigerated chambers at a temperatures 0-4οC for cured meats and -18οC for frozen foods. It is forbidden to re-freeze anything after it has been defrosted.
When the goods are loaded onto the truck for delivery to the sales point, the product has been checked macroscopically and temperature.
The same temperatures must be prevalent during product transport, so the company’s trucks are constantly monitored with the appropriate thermometers.
These conditions must also prevail in the supermarket, grocery store and restaurant refrigerators.

On principle we use raw materials exclusively from non-genetically modified organisms for the production of our products.
For this reason, where deemed necessary, we require our suppliers to provide accompanying certificates of origin with each raw material lot delivered.
Furthermore, in order to ensure that the meat we use in our products comes from animals that are not fed with genetically modified organisms, we require that:
• Each lot of food purchased for our own pig farms is accompanied by a certificate of origin.
• Our suppliers - pig farmers take each lot of animals to the abattoir with a certificate issued by the attending veterinary practitioner that no genetically modified organisms have been used to feed them.
• All imported meat comes from farms that are in a position to certify that no genetically modified organisms are used to feed their animals.
VIKI S.A. has declared its products in the Greek Data Bank EFID (European Food Intolerance Databanks) as suitable for those with food allergies or intolerances.
The Greek Data Bank certifies food free from ingredients that may cause allergies or intolerances, such as egg, milk, gluten, soy and derivatives thereof and azochrostikes. This is a valuable tool both for specialists (doctors and dieticians) and for consumers.
This effort has been recognized by scientific bodies such as the "Greek Company Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition" which has put it under its auspices.
